Hello, my name is April Abalos and I'm a 39 year wife and mother of 5 children. I was never overweight until the birth of my second child. That's when my weight became a yoyo senario. My weight became very serious after the birth of my 5th child. I developed high blood pressure, borderline diebetes, acid reflux, & asthma. At a weight of 230 lbs. I decided to start the process of getting the lapband. I was especially happy to hear that there was a surgeon in my area. After I went to the seminar, I went through the steps to get the lapband (insurance approval, pshychiatric evaluation, etc) and the rest is history! I got the lapband on August 17th, and now my weight is 203 lbs! I'm really looking foward to a new lifestyle of good health and other benefits that the lapband offers. I came here to share my story and to compare testmonials with other lapband patients.
