Joanies not so unique weight-loss story
You look marvelous!!! I wonder if you would share more ideas. You said you follow his (your Doctors) guidelines, what are they?? I broke my foot a year ago and was in a wheel chair or crutches or a walker for 7 months. When I started walking again (every time I walked) something else would break down. I have been so frustrated this year and have not lost anything. In fact I gained 15lbs because of the wheelchair and crutches stuff. I am so desperate for ideas that I cannot stand it. Please share his guidelines. Thank in advance for your help. Valerie

Tightening in Neck area
Kathy I went through the pain in the neck part for about a week, about 1 month after my surgery. Every time I burped or Hiccuped it hurt. Then it just went away as fast as it came about. I also had pain in my side for about the first 1.5 months. It seemed like I had it when I was really full from something like a fluffy drink, like a smoothie. something that took up alot of air-room. If that makes any sense. But the pain in my neck only happened when I burped or hiccuped. Now both pains are gone. How long has it been since your surgery?

eat 3 times a day vs. 6 times a day.
Good for you!!!! Doing the happy dance for you!!:clap2: My goal is to get off all of my meds that I can too. I am already down about 4 pills a day but that has just been since my surgery and I haven't been able to take them. I have to go back to my reg. doctor to see about getting off of them.

The Band VS Gastric Bypass...What made your decision??
I agree!!!! My husband said the bypass was not an option. I agreed with him. However I do want my weight loss to be permenant. So I guess I will have to stay on top of things. Banded 9/8 and feeling great!!!

Hi. I take Zyrtec and Micardis, 1 pill at a time and in a teaspoon of applesauce. Space them apart by 20-30 minutes. Also the doctors may have a liquid form of the tablet. They will instruct you how to take those pills though. You really don't need to worry with that. Hope this helps.

Hi Eileen, thanks for the info. I will try to find it. Let's see, how I am feeling? I am getting better every day. I don't use pain meds but maybe once a day and that is if I overdo. I am so excited about this lapband. I don't get very hungry right now and I realize it is because I am still recovering. But I am not thinking of food all the time either. I hope this feeling lasts forever. I am so greatful that I found out about the lap band. I think the gassy part is part of the banding. My friend had hers done in May and that is the main complaint that she has. I am going to start walking in a day or so.
