  1. Hi. I take Zyrtec and Micardis, 1 pill at a time and in a teaspoon of applesauce. Space them apart by 20-30 minutes. Also the doctors may have a liquid form of the tablet. They will instruct you how to take those pills though. You really don't need to worry with that. Hope this helps.
  2. Hello all September bandsters! What a wonderful day! I was banded Sept 8 and I must say it gets better every day. Today I can drink so much more and without the air bubble that goes with it. I will be going back to work tomorrow for a little while. That's how good I feel. I' am praying for all of you, I know you will do fine through it all, just be a little patient (no pun intended ) Think happy thoughts. God Bless!
  3. Hi Eileen, thanks for the info. I will try to find it. Let's see, how I am feeling? I am getting better every day. I don't use pain meds but maybe once a day and that is if I overdo. I am so excited about this lapband. I don't get very hungry right now and I realize it is because I am still recovering. But I am not thinking of food all the time either. I hope this feeling lasts forever. I am so greatful that I found out about the lap band. I think the gassy part is part of the banding. My friend had hers done in May and that is the main complaint that she has. I am going to start walking in a day or so.
  4. Hi badmadmama, I see it has been a month for you. How do you feel? I was banded 9/8 and I would like to know what I will feel like in a month. Thanks for your help.
  5. Hi sm1125, I was banded on the 8th and I know the pain that you are talking about. It does feel like you have been running a lot. I figure it is a gas bubble lodged. Did you walk around alot. I get up and move and I feel much better. Hope the pain doesn't last because it is very hard to breathe. Try tapping on it to move it out of there. Good luck!
  6. Hello everyone, I had my surgery and am home now. All went well a little problem with the gas thing but other than that I feel good. Just thought I would stop in and say hello. I am still a little tired and so I shall go and rest. Talk to you all later.
  7. I'm with you dovie6523, tomorrow is my surgery day also. They have moved my time from 10AM to 7:30AM, I'm so happy about that. I will say a prayer for both of us tonight to curb our jitters. Good luck!
  8. Want2Lose, yes I have been on Atkins for 2 weeks and tomorrow it is all liquids, clear liquids. The doctor said I might be able to come home the same day we will just have to wait and see how I do. It is still considered outpatient whether I spend the night or not. BJean I am kind of nervous but very excited. My friend had this done in May. I had no ide this was even an option until I spoke with her about a month or so ago. I hope you all will bear with me as I am trying to learn my way around this board. Anyway good luck to all the September Bandsters. WooHoo!!!!!
  9. Hi Want2lose!!!! You can add me to the September bandsters, my date is Friday 9-8-06 at 10 AM. I am so excited I can hardly wait. Valerie

  14. My dr is in Wichita Falls where I live and his name in Dr. Brett May. He seems very nice and understanding.
  15. Thanks mousecrazy, I'm sure I will learn my way around, it will just take a while. I'll keep plugging away at it. Valerie
  16. Hello, :help: I'm new to the forum , have been lurking for about a month and I am due to have lapband surgery this Friday (9/8) at 10AM. I am a little nervous. I do not know how to use the forum so please forgive me if you want a reply and don't get it. I'm not sure of what I am doing. You all have been so helpful that I am so relaxed going into the surgery. I was a nervous wreck before I found you. You all are so very imformative. Now my friend told me about the lapband approx 1 month ago and I decided that was the way to go. My insurance will not pay for the lap band only the bi-pass andthat is not an option. My husband won't allow that one. I am a self pay and I figured I needed to do this to save my life. People in my family die young and are all overweight. I'm breaking that mold NOW!!! I have battled weight all of my life. The only 2 time in my life that I was thin was when I took diet pills. The real ones like back in the early 70's before they banned them. Illegal drugs. Anyway I'm out to change my world and my families. Ready steady go.... Valerie
  17. I guess I should have told you all I am in Wichita Falls Texas. My surgery will be here and will be done by Dr. Brett May. I am a self pay. My insurance wouldn't cover this but I figure if I want to live I will find a way to get it done. Valerie
  18. Hello , I do not know what to do here but here goes. I'm scheduled to be banded September 8th. I have been lurking for about a month now. I must say all of you are very informative. I truly enjoy this forum and you all have made me very relaxed. September 8th at 10AM. I am a little nervous but nothing like I was before I found you guys! Valerie
