  1. This isnot diet or weight related but how do you get the tickers to show on your messages. Where do I have to add it at.
  2. When I went for my surgery, my doc checked for and repaired a hiatal hernia. I have not had one case of reflux since and before surgery I was taking pepcid all the time to help curb the heartburn and reflux.
  3. I use the twinlab brand, citrus flavor. they don't taste bad and 1000 mg per tablet.
  4. I remember when I was going to Weight Watchers the leader used to say if you have a craving to go ahead and acknowledge it and eat something sweet while you can control yourself before it takes over. Dont' beat yourself up, life goes on.
  5. Jeff, I am 2 months out now and have lost 57 lbs, I don't regret one minute doing the surgery. I am especially glad I did the sleeve and not the lap band. To many problems associated with the band. I almost cried as I was reading your story. Please keep us updated with your progress.Cathy
  6. I did that recently also, with my daughters help. It was hard getting rid of favorite shirts. She made me try everything on and watched to be sure I wasn't cheating! When we got done, I had five shirts left that she said would probably fit for another week and then they would have to go. I too, found some clothes that fit that didn't before! This has been the best thing I have done! From size 18/20 to 14 and mediums instead of xl.
  7. From one newbie to another hello and have a great journey
  8. After being very overweight and hating life for a lot of years, I finally made the decision to talk to my doc about weight lose surgery. He agreed because of my high blood pressure and other assorted weight-related issures that is was a good idea. I had tried several different methods ie Weight watcher, Healthy Ways, with no lasting results, the most I lost was 25 lbs on WW and I was starving all the time. I went to see the surgeon, Dr. Im in Richmond, and had decided to do the band because I wasn't keen on the idea of having my insides re-routed. Dr. Im asked if I would be interested in doing another procedure that Kaiser was going to be offering, gastric sleeve. He explained it all to me and I said "Hell yes." That has been the best decision I've made in a long time. I started at 249 lbs in April 2009, I had surgery on July 20th and have lost 57 lbs to date. I have gone from a size 18/20 to a 12/14 and almost need to get smaller clothes again.(Baggy saggy pants don't cut it!) My blood pressure is perfect, I am able to exercise without being in major pain (arthritis) and I am loving life now. I would recommend anyone thinking of doing the band to ask about the sleeve.
  9. Good Morning all, I just want to thank you to all of you from the Saturday group you made me feel welcome (even though I'm not a LAP-BAND®). I look forward to chatting with you guys as we all strive to reach our goal. Thanks again! Slimgranny
