  1. I am only two days over my surgery and feeling pretty good. I do have a couple of questions and would appreciate the feed back since this is all very new to me. I seem to have the feeling of everything I drink sticking and not going all the way down. I have almost GERD feeling, sort of like a heart burn and pepcid ac has been helping. I have really stuck to the guidelines and have not taken anything I was not suppose to. Today is the first day of a protein shake, and it was wonderful. It seems like when I take the pain meds is when I really notice the symptoms. Is this normal and what is the best way to prevent it if any? I am walking a lot and that helps some, but I hate taking the pain meds because of the discomfort afterward, even when I disolve it. Thanks
