  1. Hey Mandy is that you? I haven't checked out this site for about a year. So much have changed. I'm single again. My total weight loss so far is 85 lbs. I just had a defil in Ottawa with Dr Bishop and now I can eat everything I want. I'm still being careful but I have had at least a 5lb weight gain. I am waiting for a Barium swallo to she if the band has slipped. They don't think that it's possible but they want to make sure. Are you married yet? Are you maintaining your weight loss. So much catching up to do Louise
  2. Haven't visited for a while and look what I found.....size 6!!! Fantastic.
  3. Hey Andrew Congrats!!!! And on Valentines day! Hugs
  4. Do you think that maybe they may be lurking about on this website spying on us????? It feels like we are being stalked!!! lol Hope your kitty is feeling better! Halifax seems like a nice place to live. Their airport is soooo windy though. You would be close to Peggy's Cove. Very pretty area. Not the Rockies but it has it's charm. Maria, glad to hear about the good report from the Doc and congratulations on your future grandchild.
  5. Not sure what the cost but the other Ottawa Doc charged $75 for a fill. I think the Montreal Docs would take care of their own fills though?? Good luck
  6. Seriously now!!!! 15 more lbs Mandi!!! I know you are just venting but you had 1.6 to go 15 more would make you 13.4 under weight!!! I know you are kidding but isn't it not funnnny! Tell me about your defil...where?.. in your home town?? I get the feeling why but did Dan have some input??? I looked at your most current pic and I see that Dan has lost some weight. You both look amazing!!! I need to know...what did it take??? Where you able to eat at all without bping in the last 11/2 year??? Tell me.... what did it take? Seriously....I need to know
  7. Yes, I had my fill in Mississauga. I was there on some lab equipment training and so before I left I made an appointment for a fill. I only got 0.2 ccs because that day, I was very tight and Sue didn't want to risk overfilling. She also exchanged the fluid completely. She said that the existing fluid was bloody and she wanted it to be fresh. I saw Dr C when I was there. He walked passed me outside when I was leaving and he still looks very good. He did my last fill and it went so well. Next time I will insist that he does the fill. No more Sue for me...NO!!! I'm still having some pain but it's much better.
  8. I think that the shoe thing is because the feet also get fat and swollen. Just my take on it
  9. I am sorry if this info has already been posted but I just found out yesterday. There is a new Doc in Ottawa that will do fills. Here is the info Dr Douglas Bishop 1335 Carling Ave, Suite 102 Ottawa Ph: 613-761-8015
  10. Patience is a virtue and how I've learned that!!!
  11. Yesterday I went for my umpteenth fill. I'm pretty sore today because "Sue" who I have never seen before likes to dig!!!! OWE!!! I've never had a fill like that before. It felt like she was tearing my skin to move the needle because she put the needle a foot away from the port and didn't want to remove the needle and insert it near the port. The injection site is bruised, raised and hot to the touch. I was worried about infection but I think that my skin is just rebelling, it just can't give that much!!!! Anyway, I now have 2.6 cc in a 4cc band and am feeling really tight, so I plan not to have much turkey this Christmas but that's OK with me. Cheers
  12. I didn't mean to omit saying 1.6 lbs!!!! Now that's crazy!! Congratulations!!!
  13. Mandi, Do not quit your job over a B.....tch!!! What goes around comes around. I don't know if you remember but I posted about a person that I work with that sounds like the person you work with (notice the politically correct term..person) anyhow she pissed me off again on Thursday. When I told other people I work with what she did again...one of them said...Remember, she is retiring Jan 10th....and she better not be lying. Listen to me, I am more senior, if you find her offensive then so do so many others. What you need is some validation, so here it is. She is crazy and you are a good person. Do not quit your job!! So there...I said what I had to say. The chef job is interesting....there's a place not too far from here you can go for the weekend and take some cooking lessons. My dh and I have considered going. Follow your passion
  14. Mandy, size 10 and 12, how I wish!!!!! That's awesome. I'm a verrrrry slow loser but I am losing. As of yesterday, I am down 36 lbs. It's taken me 15 months to lose it. I have to go to Mississauga for an educational on a coagulation instrument in December, I might go for a fill then since I will be only a few blocks away from the Clinic. Nice to hear from you and Green and hello to everyone. Cheers
  15. I meant clothes!!
