Right now, I'm only at the beginning of the process and need some assistance to make it through. Im currently a Kaiser SoCal member and want to get the surgery. I visited my primary doc yesterday and he told me Kaiser doesn't perform lap band. I told him I disagreed and that I know some have gotten the procedure. He gave me a recommendation: "Call the Appointment Center at... to schedule an appointment for - Orientation for Bariatric Surgery and the Orientation Weight Management."  Is this normal? Do I need to get a different primary.. Im lost. Please help.
