    Question??

I am 9 days post op. I was wondering, does anyone where they live have any kind of restaurant or food service that caters to Bariatric patients? Especially in NJ. Also would that type of place be of any interest to you, whether you would eat there all the time or just go out for dinner once in a while. If you could let me know. Thanks Dorothy:thumbup:

  4. Today is my second post op day. Just a little pain, but the GAS!. I found walking helps but also if I lay flat out on the bed and bend my knees. It helps you to fart. If you sit too much with your body been up the gas cant find a way out ( hope this helps). My only other problem is I am so tired of sweet tasting liquids. Two weeks of clear liquids wouldn't go quick enough for me. I think I will try water with lemon.

    Very Excited about my journey!

I have so much going on besides waiting to have my surgery in November. I don't want to wish my life away but I am a little impatient. We have a Disney trip the end of October so I guess that could be my "Last Supper" time before getting banded. I have to get thru psch evalution, dietician, and the other slu of tests. The next couple of weeks will be slammin'. Life is good...

    Very Excited about my journey!

:closedeyes:So I made it thru everything pretty well except my hemoglobin is low and the doc thinks the anesthesiologist wont put me under. I have until Nov 20 to get my blood up. Lots of iron and vitamins on the way.
  7. :rolleyes2:I would find another doctor. I experienced that once with a ortho doctor and I never went back again, even though the Dr was suppose to be the best. The staff was so rude and didn't give a s#@t. You could say something to the dr?...but then you might cause more problems with the staff. There are other offices and docs that would appreciate your business.:wink2:
  8. :blink:My insurance company is the best. Because I am having it done at the hospital I work in they approve everyone. Now I just have to past the pschyc and the medical. That shouldn't be too hard. I'm only a little crazy.:smile2:

  10. I sort of know how you feel. I haven't been banded yet but it took me a year to decide if I was going to do it. Now I am all excited. I worried about the same things and I came to the conclusion it's only food. It will always be there. You have to take care of yourself. When I have my band done in November, thanksgiving is only a week away. I usually cook and have guests but not this year. I am going to be selfish. My husband is behind my 100%. You hubby and family will do take out and I will have turkey broth. Good Luck to you and things will get better. Smile.

    Lost Too Much Weight

:thumbup:Insurance companies are crazy. I thought it was going to be a big problem, but I decided to have the surgery done at the hospital I work at. They just push it right thru. Dont even need pre approval. I just have to past the tests and screenings and stuff. I had an appointment with the surgeon on Monday.

Share ideas, What did you eat today ?

:cool:This is great! I am going to the surgeon on Monday to start this whole process because I am still on the fence about having the band done ( leaning towards yes). It is very interesting to see what everyone can and cant eat. sorry it this is dorky, this is my first post.:blushing:
