I posted this in pre-op but I would like banded input as well???
I just had my pre-op work done, included an ultrasound of my tummy and they now want to remove my Gallbladder before getting banded. I was told I have a small gallstone. I have never been troubled by gallbladder problems. Is it a true necessity for band success or is it a scam for more insurance and more money? please reply with any information you may feel useful!

I was scheduled for a Endoscopy today and have been on
pre-op diet for two weeks yesterday WLC of America in Beverly Hills canceled my appointment. They claimed that AETNA insurance changed and they needed to satrt over again with the process. Also now I would need their nutriion program for 90 days. Should I seek another Doctor? Have others had a similar experiences? Am I being to critical?
Thanks for your thread, I have only started the process with this group last week. I was also wondering if others in the greater Los Angles area were happy with Weight loss centers (1800 get slim).
They are the largest advertiser in So Cal for LAP-BAND®. Someone must be able to share experiences?
I started Monday on what my Dr. suggested "use whey protein shakes as meal replacement and between meals then just Chicken breast, Fish, or lean Steak with a green veggie and a salad". How many shakes should I have a day if I am only eating one meal? How long should I stay on this plan?
