  1. I am on an antidepressant called Cymbalta and it is in a time-release capsule. My psychiatric nurse practitioner said to open the capsule and take half in the AM and half late afternoon. Applesauce sounds great as my other medications taste awful when ground up and taken with water.
  2. Yes! I just spent a weekend from hell dealing with raised, itchy splotches all over my stomach area. The surgeon "0n-call" said to take some benedryl. That was not effective at all!! Finally on Monday I went to a Dermatologist and he prescribed a steriod creme which I put on two times a day. I feel human again. The surgeon thought the problem was the "glue" they use to keep the top of the stitches together. I also thought the problem could have been the pre-op scrub. Who knows? It was extrememly uncomfortable and I am glad to be doing better.
