I went to Dr. Rumbaut for my surgery. I had a 70n lb weight loss up to this past year...I tapered off, stabilized and lost about 5 lbs per year...but I only had a couple of fills and did not follow up.This spring, I had an obstruction. A blessing in disguise. I had all the fluid removed (2 cc) and went on a lap band 'vacation'.(unofrtunately the weight started to creep up too!)........my esophgaus and stomach must have tightned up or something without having any fluid,  because when I finally got tightened I could only tolerate .9 cc and I am dropping weight (20lbs) just as I did after surgery......only know I am going to be a little more diligent to continue the weight loss.....might as well take advantage of the opportunity.I have never regretted the procedure and view the lap band as a tool I can use or not use......and this new incentive and tightness has really encouraged me.........
