  1. I was banded on 10-14-09 too. I have lost 40 lbs. I am very happy that I did this. The weight coming off is a little slower than I would like sometimes but I realize that it is in my control. If I eat the right things and exercise, I do great. I love having this band as a tool to help me with my weight which has been a lifetime struggle.
  2. I can barely eat my 1/2 cup of regular food right now but for some reason I can eat several cookies and feel no restriction. Obviously I try not to make this a habit as it would completely ruin all of my weightloss efforts so far but I was just wondering if anyone knew why sweet treats go down so easy?
  3. I was banded on 10/14/09 and have lost 30 lbs since I started the two-week pre-op diet. I have had 2 fills with 4ccs in a 10cc band. I do have some restriction but have another fill scheduled for 2/2/10. I'm hoping that will put me at the sweet spot. So far I have been happy with my decision. When I don't lose weight, I know why. I'm glad that the October Bandsters are posting again. Great to hear from everyone.
  4. I make thinned mash potatos with a little bit of butter. I use all of the liquid and only half of the instant potatos required. It is like potato soup but it feels a little thicker. It has been helping me get through this liquid stage. I use all skim milk instead of any water.

  6. I just found out today that I will have mine on 10/14. I like that "reality anxiety". I'm excited but freaked out all at the same time.
