  1. Ive struggled with being banded at times .... it's hard when you use food to deal with life... then suddenly you don't have that anymore ..... or as you had it before I get those type of comments too.... I let most people know. It makes me uncomfortable ... I just say some nebulous thing... grin and bare it. I don't what else to do. I also hate it when they say your losing weight ... how much? when you just gained a couple pounds.... makes you feel bda you know.... peace, Kathy Banded 7/28/2006 Start 400lbs ... 2 fills ... 348 right now.
  2. Hey! sugar free jello rocks in pre-op phase! I would have 3-4 little containors for dinner and would feel a lot better --- like I actually got to eat something! And, it was on my doc's pre-op diet ok list. hang in there! kathy
  3. Kimmason, how's the sick feeling? I was banded 7/28/06. I had terrible nausea post-op and got deydrated. It's hard to drink when you feel that way --- and a symptom of dehydration is nausea. My doc had to change my anti-nausea medicine and I forced myself to drink. After a day on the new med and drinking, I slowly got better.
  4. Hi! This is my first post. I was banded 7/28/2006 by Dr. Eric Pinnar in VA. I just love him and recomend him highly for anyone in the DC metro area. My starting weight was 398. At my 1 week follow up I weighed 377. That was about a week ago. I have lost 1-2 more pounds since. My doc has liquid for 2 weeks then mush for another 2 ... then slowly introducing new a little less mushy foods -- but still softish food. He told me that in the mush phase, I shouldn't eat anything that I need to chew. I love my magic bullet! I creamed an egg today and it was great! I can only eat 1/4 cup right now per my doctors instruction -- so I am still hungry a lot. Being super-sized is tougher than going a little hungry. When ever I feel depressed or want to over eat, I remind myself of that show on the health channel wear the 700lb man was bed-ridden and died. I don't want to be that way. I want to live --- fall in love ---- have a life. any way --- sorry so long. peace.
