  1. Hi all, I'm new here so please bear with me. I'm just starting my investigation into the lap band procedure. I've seen posts from others who have my same insurance (BCBS TX), who had to provide a 5 year weight history to get approved for lap band. I wasn't under a doctor's care until this year, so I don't have 5 years of weight documentation to provide. However, when I was under an OB/GYN's care 8 years ago, my weight was documented (and, as today, put me at a BMI of 35 - 37). I guess what I'm wondering is, how do you provide 5 years of weight documentation if you didn't have insurance and weren't seeing a doctor for the past 5 years? Thanks in advance! :cursing: Thick Chick in TX
