  1. Help! I am 4 days post-op and overall I think I'm doing well. However, I have this constant (and oh so PAINFUL) pressure and feel the need to burp. I just can't no matter how hard I try. I'm walking a lot and taking Gas-X as described, but to no avail. I can feel the gas moving but it goes nowhere. I'm sleeping on my left side at night, but that only helps a small bit. By the midafternoon, I am so bloated with gas that I look like I did when I was pregnant with my twins. Please tell me there is something I can do to relieve this pain. I never thought I'd want to burp like a trucker.
