  1. A lot of people feel that way- it is called Bandster Hell and it is the point you are at until you find the sweet spot. Hang in there- it will get better. My doc is aggressive with fills- had 2 cc during surgery and 4 cc's at first fill at one month.
  2. I use my Wii Fit and am going to the gym--- 6 days a week I do cardio (treadmill mostly) 3 days I also do arms/legs on the machines.... 1 day I work out with my trainer--- Just started with trainer yesterday- can barely move today! LOL I am down 30 lbs since July 6th...
  3. Really? Really you "dislike" the band already? That is insane! You just had SURGERY. Did you think you were going to be out playing dodge ball the day after surgery? Your body needs to heal. Some of these posts I read just blow my mind. Did you not ask about how long recovery would take when you talked to the doctor? Come on- rest and let your body heal.
  4. slgrimes- let us know if you contacted your doctor about the vomiting. We are only being hard on you because we CARE about you and you being successful!
  5. OK First things First...you need to call ur doc and let him know that you are vomiting daily. 2nd thing, you can not expect to lose weight if you are not eating the correct foods.... you knew going into this surgery that this was a TOOL to help you lose weight... so now you need to get your head in the game. Protein FIRST- that should take up at least 3/4 of your day to do depending on your weight. Then veggies then GOOD Carbs---- fats should be on the very short list.... you should be eating eggs, chicken, fish, cottage cheese... yada, yada, yada.... sweets, breads, junk food should not be in your diet at this point.... I am following this Protein first rule, drinking my water (crystal lite), and walking daily and I am down 28 lbs in less than a month- like I said you knew what you were getting into when you got the band..it is only a TOOL.... you have to do the work for it to work.... I get extremly frustrated when I see people complaining about it not working--- there is no such thing...YOU are not working. Your diet should be appox 800-900 calories per day and you should TRACK every bite you put in your mouth...try Livestrong.com's daily plate--- great TOOL. I am being hard on you because the "hang in there it gets better" line is a crock of crap.... you have to be willing to do the work.... if you want this as bad as you wanted it xyz months ago that you had surgery you will get down and dirty and bust your butt to get the job done. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
  6. what is DDR? I have wii fit- almost broke it when it groaned when I stepped on it! LOL.... and then again when it cheerfully told me I was OBESE.....Really!
  7. Hi guys- Water, Water, Water....make sure you are drinking your water... also Protein first... then veggies and then carbs (good carbs)...personally I am staying away from carbs except once per week. It is a lot of mind over matter. Plus I am walking 1.5 to 2 miles per day every day. This is a tool- I have issues with my back but walking doesn't seem to bother it too much... anyway- I hope I helped a little...I am down 28lbs since July 6th (day I started pre-op) and I have no fill yet. I just tell myself that I need to do this and get it done!! Good Luck to you all!
  8. I was banded July 16th...first fill is Aug 25th....I am not starving....sometimes hungry but if I drink my water I am usually good. I am down 28 lbs as of today (that includes the 10 day pre-op I did). Thanks!
