  1. I too am from Michigan. Royal Oak. I was banded on July 27th. I still can't believe I did it! Go me! I new it was time, when I mistook my 7yo daughters pink shirt, for a pair of my undies!!!! Good luck all, and congrats
  2. I don't usually keep secrets, but after testing the waters at work and coming up with responses like "you should just exercise, go on a diet, less calories, ww" I decided to not tell anyone at work about my surgery. I'm not an idiot, most people don't lose weight quickly w/o surgery so I realize they are going to notice something. But, I had my surgery 6 days ago, and I'm planning on going back in 3 days. I've lost a few pounds, do you think they are going to notice? And if they do, (now or in the future) how do you respond? Any good responses would be appreciated!!! Thank you! btw- the names's Jane, nice to meet you, and THANK YOU for the site, awesome blogs and answers to questions. love it!
  3. I am new too! Just got banded on the 27th. My dr kept telling me that it would be similar to getting my gallbladder out...boy were they wrong! BUT...the pain lessens everyday, and I don't go too far w/o my binder. Is there anyone else who uses one? I also stick a pillow next to my tummy when I'm sleeping which helps with the pain. I think stuff is just moving around And the gas! I can feel the gas moving through. Very weird sensation! Anyhow, I just wanted to say hello, and I love everything I've read so far!! Thank you
