  1. I was banded back in May. I just had my first fill this past Wednesday, July 22nd. My port is located a bit toward my right side, but I'm feeling what seems like a pulled muscle pain about 2 inches away from where the port is, further to my side. It started coming on Friday night and I've had it over the weekend and still today. I say it feels like the pain of a pulled muscle because it hurts only really when I move a certain way or if I breathe in really deeply. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm just not sure if it is band related or potentially something else. Thanks for any ideas!
  2. I got really nervous before my first fill last Wednesday. Then when I got in there it was over and done with in 5 minutes! My surgeon has patients come in after no eating and drinking for 2 hours prior to the fill. I walked in and sat down. He came in to ask me how many CCs I wanted, 2 or 3. I opted for 3 because he fitted me with the larger sized band during surgery. I laid down on the table, he felt for the port and stuck the needle in. After about 3 seconds he found where it needed to be and boom the fill was over. I sat up and was asked to drink a few sips of Water to let them know if it felt like it was coming back up at all. I do, however feel as though I will need another fill very soon. While I do have restriction, I'm already hungry between meals again. My surgeon told me I may be in for about a half dozen adjustments during my first year after surgery because of having the larger size band. Good luck to you!
  3. I've had a similar feeling since having my band surgery on May 28th, 2009. It comes and goes for me.
  4. I got the band on 5/28/09. I too ended up with very little restriction as I started to heal. I found myself simply trying to add in a protein shake here and there to try and keep myself from going overboard with my eating. I just had my first fill this past Wednesday and things are seeming to fall into place. Just be patient! Good luck to you, : )
  5. I have lots of frozen dinners and they range from "diet" ones to regular meals. The portion sizes are perfect for me right now. I also have some of those heat and eat pasta meals with the sauce too! Yum!
