  1. Flouro=Flouroscopy Its basically a live x-ray. This way, when they give you the fill they can have you drink some whatever and actually see how much goes through the band and where your restriction is at. Its very cool! And getting a fill is just like getting a shot. Its no big deal and usually takes 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Oh, its good to know you've had a good experience with them! I've heard some discouraging things about other filcentersusa places. I knew there was one in Tampa, but I was afraid to go. Maybe I will give it a try!!! Thank you!
  3. So, I was banded in Monterrey, Mexico and I went back there for my last fill, which was great. I would love to do that again, but I really can't afford it right now, and I really need a fill. But, I'm having a hard time finding someone in North Florida to get the job done. There is a guy in Jacksonville, but he charges $600.00 on the first fill and then $350.00 thereafter. I would spend less going back to Monterrey. Does anyone else in this are know of another option? Thank you!
  4. Did it take anybody else this long for the swelling to go down? I'm worried something's wrong with my stoma.
  5. I wanted to get some feedback on how long it took others to start feeling "normal". I had surgery over a week ago (July 24) and I'm still having some pains, my stoma is still swollen, and I'm just feeling exhausted all of the time. I'm tired of not feeling well, and now I'm getting worried that something's not right, because so many people talk about what a "fast recovery time" the lap band surgery has.
