  1. Same here I got a steriod shot on Monday and by Wednesday I had gained 4lbs. Untill I read ur post I wouldn't have thought it was the steriod shot. I'm down to my normal weight today so I'm glad.
  2. I got approval from Aetna on my first letter no problems.
  3. I took off for a week but wished I took more time. I made it throught my first day back but it took everything in me to make it. I was feeling like my old self on the 10 day after surgery.
  4. I had my surgery yesterday. Just to give you a short overview. My surgery was scheduled at 10:30am, I arrived at the surgery center at 9:00am. I was quickly taken to the back and undressed and had an IV put in. I guess I was really nervous because I had to go the the bathroom about 5 times within an 1 hour period. So 10:30 came and went, I was advised that my doctor was running late and would be there about 12pm. So I just laid there the staff was really nice I was only allowed 1 vistor but they let my mother and sister come back and sit with me. I started to make a run for it when my IV came out but I didn't. The last thing I remember was laughing with my mother and sister as they were taken me back at 12:30pm. I have to say that my stomach doesn't really hurt but the gas is unbearable, I've never flet anything like this before. Good news is that I feel alot better today than yesterday. I've been up walking and holding a pillow seems to help me. Just wanted to share my experiece with everyone.
  5. Well tomorrow starts a new journey in my life. I'm not sure why but I'm not nervous at all. Guess it really hasn't hit me that I'm really going to do this. I have been waiting for this moment for a long time and I'm really glad that it's here. For anyone who reads this posting please say a prayer for me and my doctor for tomorrow morning 10:30AM.
  6. Hi, let me know how your surgery goes, I'm scheduled for 10/28/09. Good luck!
  7. My surgery is set for Oct. 28 at 830am. This is all happening so fast just got approved Monday!
  8. Got a call from the doctors office today letting me know that Aetna has approved my surgery. To tell you the truth I didn't expect to hear so soon, my paperwork was submitted on 9/8/09. Now I'm just waiting on a surgery date will keep you posted.
  9. Thanks, I know the feeling. It seems like it took forever for my stress test to come back. Praying that you results will be back quickly.
  10. Just got back from my last 2 doctor's appointments today. I was advised that the doctor's office will submit my paperwork to the insurance company and I may hear something in 2 weeks. I'm praying that I get a quick approval! :sneaky:
  11. Hey BooCakes Have you tried calling the insurance company to see what the heck they are talking about? I would call them first and then call the doctor's office. They will be glad to help you and you are correct they should know exactly what to send. Let me know how it goes. I have the same insurance and will submit my paperwork next week.
  12. Well, I had my stress test this morning and it was a breeze. I got sick and had to use the trash can but besides that it wasn't hard or painful at all. I get my results on Friday, I'm praying for a "go ahead" with surgery.
  13. Thanks for the reply, I think I will give the doctors office a call and see that he has to say. Thanks again for your help.
  14. I'm about to go crazy over my stress test. Here's my background on 7/22/09 I wnet for my bike stress test but it was stopped because they found out that I have a left bundled branch block. I was advised that I would have to see a heart specialist. So today I went in to do my stress test (on the treadmill) with the heart specialist. I was there for 3 hours and didn't have the test done. I did get another EKG and a sonogram done. The doctor said that I had go come back to do a cardiac nuclear imaging on Monday. Is ther anyone out there that has a left bundled branch block and had to do the nuclear stress test? I'm stressing out now because if I don't pass I won't be able to get the surgery right? Please anyone HELP!:w00t:
  15. Hello everyone, this is my first time posting. I'm just now starting the approval process. I wanted to see if anyone had any information on the stress test? Last week I went in to take mine and after being hooked up to the EKG machine I was advised that I had a left bundled branch block and would have to go to a different place to do my stress test. Has anyone heard of this? Also does anyone have any recent information on Dr. Richard Carter in Arlington Texas? Thanks
