  1. I too, was banded 12-26-06. The 1st 2 days were horrible, but by the 3rd day things were much better. I had the hernia repair also. I also had some complications with the anethesia, the liquid Loritab and the compazine. Totally spaced out. I ended up just taking the liquid extra strength Tylenol and that worked much better. My referred gas pains weren't too bad, but by just moving seemed to help.
  2. RAINY LAKER The preop diet for me was Instant Carnation Breakfast and I mixed it with SF Swiss miss and heated the 2% milk. I started out using skim milk, then 1% and then 2 %. That combination had enough calories to keep me satisfied. (Was what the RN suggested in the beginning) I also, wanted something to chew on, so I bought a jar of dill pickles ( 0 cal) and that really helped.
  3. Rainy Laker checking in here. Does anyone know how long the lap band procedure has been done - not just in the US but world wide?
  4. Hi Carole: I'm Rainy Laker and was banded 12-26. Was in the hospital for 1 1/2 days. Now 4th day out and I am feeling pretty good, compared to the first few days. I'm hoping to lose 75 - 100 lbs. I have a friend that was banded in May 06 and has lost 96 lbs. Hope to follow in her footsteps. Good luck on your journey to a new you.
