  1. I think my doctor said 12-18 months as well. I'm 27 and was banded last week on my birthday, so I've decided to wait until Jan 08 to start. Hopefully by that time I'll have adjusted to my band and my new body
  2. Hi Jewel: Glad to see your post. I was also banded Thursday August 17. I was great the first day as well, but now I'm starting to really feel discomfort at the port site. I'm mostly sleepy and uninterested in food or trying to drink all this clear stuff although I have serious "stomach quakes" from time to time that are a bit painful. I'm about to take my last supradol now (anti-inflammatory) and I guess it's all liquid Tylenol or Aleve from there. I thought I would be able to go back to work tomorrow but I think I'm going to rest for a couple of days...I'm a little to fuzzy to function :-) Best of luck and let me know how it's going for you!
  3. Yes, I too am an anxious bundle-o-nerves! Luckily I'm going on vacation and that should distract me for the next five days. My inlaws are visiting upon my return and this time next week I'll be on pre-op. I've never been this nervous and excited at the same time! I'm so happy to read that so many have made it through the surgery with flying colors. I'll be sure to post when my time comes up. Cheers! Lynn
