My insurance will not cover the cost of lap band surgery I can not afford the cost of the surgery in the states so would really like to chat with some folks that have gone to Mexico and had a good and successful experience

Is there anyone who can give me the name of some good yet reasonable doctors for banding since my insurance turned me down I would be very greatful for any help Also I am very greatful I found this sight I too have a hitial hernia and the one seminar I did go to the surgeon said he would NOT do the band if a hernia was present he was very adament, hope to hear from someone soon THANKS

I am going to one of Dr Pitts seminar in Aug I am so ready for this but I know I am going to have to fight my insurance company (Blue Cross Blue Shield Alliance)(anyone have that company) every step of the way and will probably also have to use the group I saw on the internet that will rep you if your insurance refuses to help you. It is an Advocacy Center and Obesity Law Center Has anyone ever used them? I also read where someone went to Dr Pitt even though they had to drive 70 miles since he was not as expensive Can anyone tell me the banding cost with Dr Pitt if you are self pay Thanks and Have a Great Day

thank you for responding and yes I would like as much information as I can get Also was it hard to find a doctor in US to do the fills since they did not due the surgery Are the fills expensive for a self pay person

I believe I am ready to persue the lapband surgery and now that I have found this sight I am feeling better My insurance company denied me but I am looking into other ways to pay for the surgery. Looking to talk to others with same situations Thanks to whoever started this sight
