Thanks for the encouragement !!! Since my last post, I've also developed jaw pain....I haven't been hungry at all which is a good thing. I've managed to get all my liquids in with no problem. I get my first fill Sept. 25, so until then hope all goes well!! TTYL

So, yesterday was my day and today I'm so miserable. I've developed a terrible cough and I have the worst gas pains I've ever experienced. My stomach hurts a little but I can deal with that. I called & talked to the nurse and she advised me that the coughing and gas were perfectly normal, but to me it's so uncomfortable. I still dont regret getting banded and I know in the end it wil all be worth it......That's it. ( guess I just wanted to vent a lil )!!!:wink:

So tomorrow is my BIG day. Im so excited. I didn't have to go on a pre-op diet, just clear liquids today. I'll be getting my surgery done in Durham, NC @ Duke. Good Luck to everyone else!!!

Stajin22, Yes the $600.00 has to be paid before your appointment. I had already met my deductible b/c I had several different doctors appointments throughout the year. If nothing has been applied towards your deductible then it should be paid to the facility performing your surgery. For example: lets say you went to the doctor a month ago for a sore throat, and paid your normal copay, then that bill will be applied towards your deductible. Once you've recieved 600.00 worth of care, then your deductible is met. So for me, I stay @ the doctor for every little thing so thats how I met mine. Good Luck.

Hi, I'm getting banded on 8/11 and have BCBSNC. My BMI is 39 and I have no pre-existing medical problems. BCBSNc approved me with no problems, don't know if the staff @ my doctors office pushed it or if the insurance just approved it, but either way, I'm approved!!!!!!

Amy, congrats on your surgery...I'm so excited and I can't stop thinking about the surgery!!! Please keep me updated with your progress!!

MY DR'S. OFFICE CALLED AND ADVISED ME OF MY SURGERY DATE THIS MORNING! IM SO EXCITED. THIS PROCESS HAS BEEN SO SMOOTH THUS FAR. :tongue_smilie:
