Hi, to all you OCTOBER 2010 Bandsters I'm a OCTOBER 2009 Bandster. I'm telling you hang on to ur hats. because I know how excited, nervous you all are and let me tell you, theirs gonna be good days and some bad. But the good out ways the bad by tons. I started out at 268lbs now i'm 166lbs went from a 22-24 pants to a size 10-12 pants. Let me tell you its the most single best thing i've ever done for myself. Their will be bumps along the way and you will think what have I done I still have that sometimes but just remember you wanted a change in your life. but when you start buying smaller clothes and getting all the comments it will boost your self-esteem so much that it out ways all those other times. SO HERES TO A NEW START IN LIFE. LIVE IT TO THE FULLEST. This time next year I hope you are doing the exact same thing i'm doing right now. well, I hope everyone is doing great!! I had surgery Oct 23, 2009. I weighed 268 lbs preop. I'm currently 175 lbs!! Whoohoo!!!! Want to lose another 10lbs and will be happy. Went from a size 22-24 pants to a size loose 14 misses. it has not been all easy BUT so worth it all. I get so many compliments these days and just the way people treat you is so different than when I was so heavy. You no thats not right but thats how people are and we just have to deal with it. I was banded on Oct 23, 2009, I have had 4 fills and lost 88lbs. thus far. Iam sch for a appt for another fill today. Iam alittle scared to get it as I fear being to tight would never want that but, I've been stuck at this point for well over a month. I have about 20lbs more to go to be at goal. Hope to be very close by my anniversary date. Hope everyone else is doing great! would love to hear updates!

Astrasmom I had my surgery on Oct 23, 2009, it was the most single best thing i've ever did for myself. I have lost 81 lbs. to date. Wow you've done great. I hope to lose another 20 lbs. by my 1 year mark and then it will be just maintenance from then on. It's just amazing last night my kids wanted taco bell which I dont do fast food very often at all. but once in a while we have to do things for the kids. Well I order Tacos (170 calories). I could only eat ONE and I was full. After getting home I ponder that for a while. Before my surgery one would not have started me, much less have made me full. :biggrin:

I use to be the one in the office sweating. Now I sit here with a electric heater at my desk and im freezing. and everyone else is complaining how hot it is. Ive lost 70 lbs. so far. so it will come for you to.:biggrin:

Well, I just had to share. I had my band buddy put in Oct 23, 2009. One of the best days of my life. Well I started at a tight size 22. I went shopping this week got 16 to try on they were all loose. Hay Im so happy. So I got a pair of 14 Levis and they fit. Do you know how long its been since i've seen a pair of 14's. Well and they weren't even tight. Just had to share with people that would understand my excitement.:mad2::party::cursing: Ps. I will try to post some pics soon.

I know this is hard. But its worth doing and you can do it. I just took it 1 day at a time. I said self you can do anything for one day. Chop it up into little portions and time will fly. Oh, and I can tell you it is so worth it, You won't regret it!

I was banded on October 23, 2009. I've lost nearly 60lbs. ive done great so far. But the last few days by 3:00pm or so i've turned nauseated and my stomach is so bloated. Im not sure what is going on. I took a gas strip today. but I dont feel that it is gas! What could it Be????

Thank You for all the words of advice. I appreciate them. Well I've been using the nettie pot for sinus cleanse and some flonase. Proud to say feeling much much better and ready for surgery.:cursing: Juliansmom2003 - Hope your surgery is a great success and congrats on your new life. I will join you on Friday. I go oct 21 for hospital pre-op. I nervous, excited, scared and all the above but, I know that it is all worth it in the end. Good Luck! Please keep us posted on how your doing.

Help, Im getting a sore throat and I'm sch. for surgery October 23 next Friday. I've been taking sinus meds for throat drainage but I guess its not going to help. I feel like its allergy related if that makes sense. I've waited sooo long for My Day!! I can't hardly stand the thought of it getting postponed any longer.:scared2: Can anyone give me advice on what I should try????

okiegirl 79 My surgery is sch. for October 23, next friday. I started a 2 week diet last friday that I posted in the earlier post. No Iam not on a liquid diet. But I know after surgery I'll be on one for a week, then go to mushies and so on... Hoped this helped. Just post if anymore questions
