Any patients of Dr. Patterson in Portland, OR
I had United HealthCare Ins. I did not have any problems getting approved. The length of time from the Information Session to Surgery was 8 months. I was confirming all information was in place with Dr. Patterson's office and my insurance every step of the way to ensure smooth progress. Don't assume that everything is being taken care of make sure it is by checking up. I had been told one of the documents needed was not recieved but they actually had it in the file. Just make sure you do your homework.

Any patients of Dr. Patterson in Portland, OR
I had my surgery with Dr. Patterson 1 year and 8 mos. ago. I have been very pleased with her. I only wished that I did not have to drive to Portland to see her. I have had a few visits with Dr. Halipin and she is very good too.

June 15 banded-- too slow?
You are doing great. Don't push too hard. Just keep following the rules and it will come off. You did not say if you are exercising. Exercise will help.

1st timer
It took me about 2 months from seminar to surgery date. I thought that was awsome progress. It had taken others more time because they did not keep on top of things with doctor and insurance, etc. I kept the ball going every time I though it was not progressing.

Dr. Donald Yarbrough - Great at doing Fills
I just recently read that Corvallis is doing LapBand surgeries. I don't know if your doctor is one of them. I work in Corvallis and know someone who works for the hospital there. I can ask. I went to Portland to have my surgery as it was the closest one to me at the time. I would like to have fills in Corvallis if possible.

Hello, new to this site but not to lapband
I just wanted to say hello. My nutritionist recomended this site for support. My trouble spots are sweets and getting enough water in my day. Any suggestions for these issues? FYI, I work in a lab setting where food and drink is prohibited. Thanks,

I am now 1 year 8 months post band. I recently was bocked and I had fluid removed. How do I keep from eating too much and gain weight before I have my next fill?
