  1. Hi. I've had my band for about a year and a half and it's been very difficult for me. A few weeks out each month all is well but when I am approaching my period, it always gets too tight and I throw up A LOT. I have been in a cycle of loosening and tightening my band for about 6-9 months to try to get it adjusted so that I do't throw up 2 weeks out of each month without success. I went in today and was told my stomach slipped up..a part of my stomach that should be below the band slipped up on top of the band. My doctor took all the restriction out for the next 3 weeks. If my stomach doesn't go back then I will have to have surgery to repostion it. Has anyone ever heard of this? Has anyone had issues with the band related to their menstrual cycle? I am the only person I know with a band and feel alone and frustrated. Help!
