  1. I had my surgery yesterday in Oklahoma City. It was not nearly as bad as I expected. I had never had surgery before so I was a little anxious about that. No pain at all except on the ride home. The jiggling and everything. Hope all went well with you. Good luck.
  2. Hi, I had my surgery yesterday, July 6. Stayed overnight and feel great. My surgery went very well and was not nearly as tramatic as I anticipated. I had lost 20 lbs on the pre-op so I think I am off to a good start. I still have nearly 220 lbs. to lose so it will be a long journey. Good luck to all July banders!
  3. I just found out today that I will be banded July 6. Very excited and a little scared. I have never had surgery before. My appointment with the nutritionist is tomorrow and then the pre-op diet starts. Everything is happening so fast now after the insurance approval. Also, my insurance approved a one day inpatient so that should make it a little easier. Good luck to everyone.
  4. I got my approval today also. My surgery will be July 6th. Everything is happening really quickly now. My appointment with the nutritionist is tomorrow and then my pre-op diet will start. Good luck to all!
  5. I having been trying to get this approval from the insurance company since February. Thought it might not happen. Today I got my surgery date of July 6 with a visit to the nutritionist tomorrow. Was there anything you wish you had known that you didn't know during the pre-op? What was not what you expected?
