Tomorrow will be day 8 for me and I was told that I could move on to baby food consistancy. At any rate, as boring as it was, I have been drinking fruity flavored protein drinks, apple juice with ice chips, sugar-free jello, and sugar-free popsicles. Every time my kids ate something that smelled good and made my mouth water, I have grabbed a popsicle. It's been helping. Looking forward to whipped yogurt tomorrow.

I'm only 1 week post-surgery, but I think I know the answer. My doc said that your band will let you eat more than you should before your first fill. You should still try to stay within the guidelines, but they probably won't do a fill until after 6 weeks. They want all of the incisions and the tissue around the band to completely heal before doing it.

Tomorrow will be one week for me as well. Haha! I am totally with you. I have the wierdest pains after drinking something. The conclusion that I have come to is that you really have to sip slow. Even then, I still get this uncomfortable feeling. It's not constant, but it is quite uncomfortable. Did you say your port is on the left side? I thought that it should be, but mine is on the right side of my belly button. WIERD!!
