I have my Orientation next week and am curious as to how much weight they will require me to loose. How about you?

Just stopping by to say hello - I have orientation in exactly 1 week woo-hooo!! and I did verify that I WILL be weighed in, after someone told me I wasn't. I don't know about you guys before your orientation but I have been eating so bad, almost like a good bye LOL!!

Hi everyone, just kinda scanning the pages....when you have lapband do you have to loose LESS weight pre surgery then RNY people?

I am so excited!! Kim @ Richmond Kaiser called me, my orientation is July 28th @ 7:30 am! woo-hoo that was so fast!! She told me I WONT be weighed in that day, it's when I meet the surgeon the next appointment, yet they want me to diet starting the day after orientation?? Thats confusing because if they wont use that loss towards the amount they want me to loose, doesn't it hurt me? or DO they count that? Tamra

Yup I sure did! The day she told me it was in Fremont I called and told them I am in Richmond and to send it to them!! I talked to Richmond yesterday and they have it there now, told me in a bout a week I will have my orientation date

asked my dr why the fremont referral, and her response: From: SANDRA SEIER MD Received: 7/15/09 6:08 PM Fremont is now the facility recommended for patients in this service area. Doesnt this seem weird??? I havent heard anything about this...

hmmm...if Fremont's happen on weekends it would almost work better for me so I don't miss work...maybe I will see if that's why my dr sent it there

Hi everyone, Called Richmond and had my referral sent over to them; they were unsure why my dr sent it to Fremont....weird...anyways, they told me in about a week I will hear when my orientation is. they did tell me they are every tuesday...we will seeeeee!! my dr sent me an email letting me know she sent it to fremont...i want to write back and ask why?? but i dont want to go back and forth. its in richmond now, and thats where i need it :thumbup:

Hey everyone! My referral was sent today but get this...TO FREMONT KAISER!! I called and told Fremont that I almost 50 mins away from there, and working in Richmond, living in Martinez that wont work for me! I have no idea why my dr would send it there unless they were less busy??? Weird!!! so Fremont is FWDing it to Richmond now for me, and told me in about a week to check the status....*sighs*

My boyfriend was denied care credit. anyone have any other resources, or information? He does not have insurance at this time due to being laid off. He needs help loosing weight to get into the police academy. Thanks

Hi everyone Just dropping a quick note - Hope you all had a great lunch today! The 2 hr class was filed with alot of info mostly about gastric but also lap banding. Now from here my dr sends the referrel to Richmond (or SSF?) and within a month I should recieve a letter or call letting me know when orientation will be held for me...looks like alot of waiting ahead of me.... Well talk to ya later!!

I assume its her insecurties with herself, but i really dont know! as I told my mom, im not worried about skin, that can be fixed but me dying from being heavy, the soreness i have in my knees, etc. is more to worry about :tongue_smilie:

well, I have decided on getting the band and have my first info class this coming friday. i have ONE FRIEND out of my batch that is being SO NEGATIVE and all she keeps telling me is how I am going to have extra skin and find out how much its going to cost me to have it removed. Any time I even MENTIONED lapband she says "have you asked how much for skin removal?" has anyone else delt with a non helpful friend?

I dont think their new, it's every week lol but they have been full every time ive tried until this Friday....

Hi everyone! In order for my dr. to send the referral to the "bariatric" dept for future info, etc. they are making me take a new mandatory 2 hr info class. Has anyone else had to do this yet? What do they cover? How long after did you see the next step? Thanks!:smile2:

hi everyone cant stay i got food posion from our work BBQ yesterday and ive been none stop throwing up...my boss sent me home and i slept from 10-1, then 1-4....sheesh...
