  1. Oh, wow, yeah it does feel good and I hope I can say I have lost 40lbs once my liduid diet is over. It does worry me about starting the mushy stage, but it is good to know you are still losing and not gaining. Take care.....
  2. Me and Hubby were banded on July 24, 2009. He had to have the Hernia taken care of too, so he is having more problems keeping the liquids down. We both had soarness in our legs, neck, and stomache. I am doing great, went back to work yesterday with no problems. Hubby stayed out for the whole week. I am so glad for this surgery because I am tired of being overly healthy (hehehe). He has lost 30lbs total (pre-op 19lbs) and I have lost 20lbs (pre-op 10lbs). I recommend this for anyone needing help/control.
  3. I was banded on July 24, 2009 and I had a pre-op diet (lost 10lbs) and then after surgery on the clear liquids i have been losing 2-3lbs a day (lost 20lbs so far) Is this normal?

  5. Surgery was on 7/24/2009. I went in at 6:30 am and was out by 1:00 pm, would have been sooner if I did not have to wait on :wub:hubby:confused: (we did it together). Everyone who took care of us were great and there was one nurse who had the lap band done and said you will be so happy you have made this life changing decission (loved the encouragement). Pain is not fun but it is apart of surgery. Worst part is seeing others eat yummy food infront of you. All in all, it is worth it. From pre-op diet to now 7/29/09 I have lost 18 lbs. Can't wait to lose more and start mushies.
  6. We (hubby and I) went to our seminar on 06/2/09 and were really inpressed with everything and set our next appointment for 6/10/09 to start the process. We were given good news that our insurance covers the lap band. Now our surgery is on July 24,2009, I am very excited :thumbup:because I need to lose 80-90 pounds (hubby about the same). We were told to do the Atkins diet from July 10 until our surgery.
