  1. Wondering how long after surgery this was happening. I had a weird taste too for about 4 days following surgery but it passed. It seemed kind of like a metal taste to me. I thought maybe it had more to do with all the other probes and thigns in my belly and my throught the day of surgery. Of course I am realizing this is probl no help at all.
  2. Hey everyone. Just found this site today but joined the BANDIES on Jue 8, 2009, last Monday.

Let me start off by saying I was just banded one week ago, on 6-8-09. I can honestly say that even while they were rolling me into the surgical suite I was thinking "what the heck am I doing" which was interesting because I didn't doubt myself at all before that. I just think nerves were getting the best of me. BUT...having started the process I feel much better. No it is not a bed of roses and the first week has been hard (we went to a family reunion today with LOADS of food), but I am so thankful to have started the journey. I approach each day with a determination to make the band work for me. I think as long as you are committed to making it work and have a great and supportive surgeon, you will do fine. Good luck and keep us infromed as to how things work out.
