Hi! I'm new here, but I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, doing my research. I'm looking for information about doctors in my area, Richmond, VA, who do the lap band surgery. Is anyone from this area? My endocrinologist suggested the open (RNY) a couple of years ago, but I just couldn't face the idea of having my plumbing rerouted so drastically. It scared me too much, but the lapband sounds more reasonable. I've been to the informational meeting with a group of doctors, but most of them have lots of experience in RNY. Two of them have been doing lapbands for about a year and a half. The practice is called Commonwealth Surgeons. Anyone used them or know someone who has? Thanks for your input! :help: Smokey
