  1. vmack - goal is to loose 120 so i have a ways to go but almost 1/4 of the way to go, how about you? kdee - nice to hear that we are on the same track i was beginning to get a bit depressed myself, but like you said everyone is different. I wish i could find your self control i need that right now. the dietician told me to eat more solid protiens, i have a hard time with meat getting "stuck" does anyone else have that?
  2. 36 so far, which don't get me wrong i am not complaining at all, i have just been stuck there for three weeks and i can and have eaten an entire 12oz bag of m&m's which is crazy, i too think i need a fill, but my surgeon is very stingy apparently which i just learned today, have another visit in two weeks and hoping he has a change of heart.
  3. Ok, here it goes. Banded on June 5, 09 and did well in the beginning. Had my first fill in August and now have little to know restriction at all and am craving chocolate like no body's business, which I never did before surgery and my dietician says to increase my protein, which I have. Called my surgeon today regarding the lack of restriction, they suggest talking to the dietician and going over what foods I am eating and how to add more "dense" foods to my diet. I am just frustrated and have hit a plateu for the last three weeks. Still walking but eating like a cow.... mooooo:eek:

  5. I too was banded on June 5th and was released on full liquids for 1 week following surgery then off to "well chewed" food that I can tolerate, but am limited to 2oz per meal, having a hard time with the 2 oz per meal, but the protein shakes really help, does anyone have a hard time getting in their fruits and veggies. I have found that V8 is helpful
  6. banded June 5th, I can sympathize, only told a few people and told my kids after I came home, but they are younger and seem to understand that "mommy is on a special diet" like you I didn't want the whole world to know my business, but now that it is over I don't care who knows that I made this decession for myself because I did it for myself and no one else. I wish you the best of luck on your journey, keep in touch
  7. I am 3 days post lap band surgery and can tell you I felt the same way, only my husband and close friends new until after the surgery, it boils down to this, as long as you are happy with the decession you make know one elses opinion matters this is your life to live not anyone elses.
