  1. My BMI is 44 and I am borderline on comorbidities too. But insurance ok'd it. They didn't require ithis, but I did have documentation of trying to lose weight - weight watchers, hypnosis, my local hospital's eating disorder program. Maybe that helped, I'm not sure, but the hospital called me on Weds. to tell me I was approved!
  2. hi... my nutritonist said I was deficient in Vit. D too - and basically said anyone in New England would be most likely low until summer. So yeah, take the supplement and you should be all set.
  3. Hi I'm new to this but had to post to all those w/ band dates of July 7th!!! That's my date too...in Boston. I meet the nutritionist again on June 22 to go over the pre op diet....but I have been trying to lose a little.....got a long way to go to goal, but I am in it for the long haul.
  4. I am 18 and my surgery date is July 7. I was in the ER Thurs after a few days of burning gnawing pain in my abdomen and feeling nauseaous. The ER treated this like an ulcer and told me to take Prilosec along with Pepcid complete. I have an appt w/ my primary Monday and expect him to order a barium swallow, but now I am stressing over this because I am afraid it will delay or worse not allow my surgery. Has anyone out there had acid reflux/ulcers and still have the surgery?
