  1. Hello. I just had my band placed on May 27th and I felt the same way you did. I tried to be brave in front of my family and friends but deep down inside I was scared something would go wrong during the surgery. I went through every little detail in my mind of the things that could go wrong...Well, thankfully everything went just fine. The worst problem I had was the gas pains after surgery and the best relief for this is getting up and walking around to move the air out. I am still a little sore (especially where the port is placed) but for the most part I am up and moving around the house. Good Luck with your surgery and I hope everything goes well for you. Let us know how you feel when you get home....
