  1. I was banded on the 3rd. i have pain where the band is to if i sit up or have the gas. the funny thing is my port site doesn't bother me at all unless i try to lay on it. but 3 of my incisions have been leaking on and off for the last 4 days so i guess everyone has a different experience.
  2. I feel you I also got banded on the 4th in NY and even though the incisions don't hurt one is leaking and the MD told me it was fine and it would stop when it was ready(not the answer I was looking for!!!!). I also asked him about the pain after I drink and he said it was gas pain. But nothing helps it unless I burp or press lightly where the pain is and it moves on. I can hear it gurgling. He also said I'm not listening to my body when it says it's full. So apparently the whole 10 sips of my protein shake is WAY TOO MUCH and I need to drink less, slower and once I begin to feel full STOP until I my stomach empties out. Good luck it can only get better.
  3. I was banded June 3rd. I'm doing ok except one of my incisions opened up and is now currently leaking. I go to the MD tomorrow so I hope, he can fix that problem. I told 1 person. Not my mom or kids I only told them I was having hernia repair surgery. I didn't want the questions and chats behind my back at work so i just didn't share. so ur not alone and besides only the people who are or have gone thru the procedure understand. So don't worry you have us to chat with any time!
