I just went to the Lap Band seminar this week and one of the first things that the hosting surgeon said himself was to never let a inexperienced surgeon use you as a guinea pig! He said you always want someone that has done it for atleast a couple of years....

Thanks! Yeah I've called them already and they cover all types of Weightloss surgery including the lap band..they cover 90% after the $100 deductible.... so I'm keeping my fingers crossed hoping everything runs smoothly

I just scheduled my first consult with surgeon....is aetna gonna make me wait forever? I haven't a clue, can someone that has Aetna weigh in on some of your experiences? Oh yeah I have the POS(no referrals needed) not the HMO, thank you in advance.

Hello everyone...I went to a Lap Band seminar this week and have set my appt with a surgeon that I have researched and feel most comfortable with on June 12th...Can anyone give me any heads up? I have already prepared myself that the surgery won't be approved overnight, and that's okay...I'm just so excited.
