  1. Hello everyone!! I am in Richardson and will be banded by Dr. Louis Fox. I just finished all of my appts and labs on the 15th, and they are turning everything into BCBS IL to get the approval. I am not nervous yet, just worried about the insurance approval. Can't wait to get started!! Congrats on the progress that eveyone has made and Good Luck for those just starting the journey!
  2. I am glad to help. I called the doctor, and I will have to wait until Oct., but it is still earlier than December. I can't wait.
  3. I am going to call the office tomorrow and make sure what all is still required. They said that they would be able to submit me for approval in September, but according to what they orginally told me about the timing required by the ins, it wouldn't be until October. I am hoping that ins changed it's stance on counting the first appt.
  4. I wish BCBS IL would do that. I have to have an EKG, a psych visit, 1 nutrition visit, and 4 months of Dr Supervised diet. Oh well, when it is done, I will be on the journey to being a healthier, happier mom to my 5 yr old Breanna.:cool2:
  5. If anyone is doing the 6 month supervised diet, you may want to check with your provider. I got a call today from my provider saying that BCBS IL changed to only 4 months. They also do not need the 5 year history anymore. I was originally going to have to wait until December to have surgery, and now, I will be able to get it done in September. I am so excited.
  6. Good Luck with your appt. I have BCBS of IL, and I do have to have 6 months, but there are differences in the different policies.
  7. You quote so much, but what about the people that are in the news that are in church every Sunday, then go out and "break" so many of the commandments. Thou shalt not steal..Thou shalt not kill..Thou shalt now covent thy neighbors wife.. One example that I can think of right now, is fresh in the news, and also is connected to something that you mentioned..John Ensign, who is a prominate member of the promise keepers, has had, in his own admission, multiple affairs. And he is a "Christian". I know many people that are true to their families, community, and the United States, that do not go to church every Sunday. In many people's eyes, this labels them as non-christians, because they do not attend a "church". These may only be a couple of examples, but when people start touting that anything but "Chistianity" is what is causing the problems in America, when the founding fathers came here to escape "RELIGIOUS OPRESSION", just doesn't make sense. But as always, this is a free country, and EVERYONE has the right to their own opinions and beliefs. Sorry so long, just my .02. Thanks and Have a Great 4th of July Weekend!!
  8. I am also in the beginning stages of my 6 month supervised diet. I am tentatively(sp?) scheduled for 12/15. I am right at 40bmi and was told not to lose too much weight because my insurance might not approve me. Told to just try to change some bad habits. I have another appt on 7/9, and will have more of the other visits (psych, etc.) scheduled then. Can't wait!!
  9. I am confused:huh2:...Are you trying to get the band removed?
  10. They are making me do the 6 month supervised diet, and my last visit will be on or around December 1, and then they want me to be banded around the 15th depending on how long it takes for BCBS to approve. I am taking it one day at a time. I have another appointment on 7/9, and will have more things scheduled then. i.e. the psych appt, etc.
  11. Blklab, You are near Morgan Hill aren't you? My dad had a horse ranch there, and my grandparents lived in San Jose. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The wait is going to be the worst part for me, as I am afraid my insurance is going to be difficult. I have BCBD of Illinois.
  12. Hey Tory! I am just getting started too. Are they making you do the 6 month supervised diet? I am hopefully going to be banded in December. Good luck with everything!!
  13. Beth.. Rodriguez..Don't make me stop this car.. Can we all just agree to disagree....
  14. Not all of the posts are respectful of other's opinions, some are being perceived as condescending of people that do not agree with them. But, it is interesting to see people in actual debates about what they believe.
  15. He did say that! But with our judicial system the way it is today, there would have been no chance for him to get a fair trial, be he guilty or not. Why don't you just deal with the fact that there are people out there that love his music, and may just believe he is innocent. They like yourself, have their opinion, and do not deserve to be judged by you. Have a Great Weekend!!
