    Hi there! For me it was about 3 weeks once my Dr's office received the letter of approval from UHC. I was approved on 2-23-06 and banded on 3-8-06. All insurance companies are not created equal. Good luck.

    My name is Carol and I was banded on March 8, 2006. Have lost 70 lbs thus far. I have only had one fill, and I think that is too restrictive as I throw almost everything up. I'm glad that the weight is coming off as I couldn't breathe and could hardly walk from my car to my office without sitting down. I do feel better (100%) due to the loss, but can't imagine that I will not be able to eat anything else ever. I can only eat mashed potatoes - ugh!!! Yikes!. Does anyone else have this issue?
