  1. That is really cool to be able to see it! I think I've healed pretty quick and I can't tell that I even have a band! I have to look at my scars to remind myself it's in there. I'm looking forward to starting the fills. Thanks again for the info. :nervous
  2. Thanks for the info! What's the difference with flouro?
  3. My doctor sent me home with liquid pain medicine and some medicine for internal swelling. I've hardley needed the pain medicine though. When it's a little sore I just take liquid Tylenol and it takes the discomfort away and usually one dose gets me through the whole day.
  4. Yay for getting banded!! How are you doing? I was just banded this past Saturday.
  5. I agree. I was just banded on Feb. 3, and I returned to work today! I went to Mexico and had it done and I went alone and did fine. Getting out of bed was the hardest thing for me but everything's getting easier as the days pass!
  6. Thanks for the replies guys. I am sure I'll still be okay and have time to shrink my liver. I started today and really wasn't too hungry to begin with! I just have had a lite n fit yogurt and am now working on a protein shake and am cooking a roast for dinner. I think the thought of doing the high protein diet (I used to do Atkins...AND Southbeach) made me not really want to eat anything!
  7. I am getting banded on 2/3 and was wondering generally how often are fills needed? Also, since I am getting banded in Mexico I recently found out that not all surgeons take Mexico patients and I will either have to pay $400 a fill or drive 3.5 hours to the nearest www.fillcenterusa.com location. Any suggestions?? What is the furthest driving distance you'd go for a fill??
  8. I am being banded on 2/3 in Mexico and I thought I was suppose to do the preop diet for one week but just realized it is 2 weeks and I haven't been following it!!!!!!! Does anyone know if 4 days is just going to totally screw it all up??
  9. Hello, I am getting ready for my surgery in Mexico and am now finding that most doctors here won't do fills for Mexico patients. I went to www.fillcentersusa.com but their closest location is about 4 hours away. I also found out that the Surgical Weight Loss Center in Tacoma will do them but at $400 a fill!!! Does anyone know of a location in Western Washington that does fills for Mexico patients at a lower price than that?? Thanks!! ~Christiana
