  1. Karen, You are doing phenomenal! I have had 3 fills so far. 1st: 2CC 2nd: 2.5CC 3rd: 1cc Toal 5.5CC's I am feeling a lot of restriction, which I am surprised by. If i eat to fast or to much I slime, so I have learned the hard way to slow down my eating. I am down 33 lbs so far and feeling great! I haven't had any drinking issues with eating so far, the only time really is if i'm having wine with dinner, then I do drink while I eat, but thats not too often.
  2. I haven't had those symptoms, but I am usually quite gassy after a fill. I'm not sure if these two things are related or not, but I've noticed how I burp for an hour or so after each fill.
  3. My warning sign is when my chest gets tight...so strange! I always get the hiccups after I PB though, so it's interesting to see so many other ppl get them too!
  4. Good Luck bostonmama! I'm also a MA bandster, let me know if you need any advice or have any questions! Look forward to seeing your progress!
  5. I was banded on 8/14 and have my first fill 9/11 so we have the exact same timing in between. I too was worried that I wouldn't be healed all the way, but we'll see!
  6. My 3rd week diet consists of: soups, Jello, pudding, sherbert, mashed potatoes, apple sauce, oatmeal, ricotta and cottage cheese...so basically all mushies! Sorry I wish had better things to tell you lol. I'm just a couple days behind you.
  7. My dr told me that caffeine in small amounts was fine. I have been having a small iced coffee about every other day and have been handeling it fine!

haha OMG this was on my mind for months I was so nervous. The first thing I said when I woke up was did you find anything weird in me?!? This made everyone laugh. Don't worry, your not alone!
  9. Mine is about 4 weeks post op. Surgery was 8/14, first fill is 9/11. Can't wait!!!
  10. I'm itching like crazy!! It appears that I have a true allergy to adhesives. Monday, after my surgeon took my steri strips off, I started noticing some serious itching from my incision sites. I thought that itching meant healing, so I was just going to try to be tough and suck it up and not scratch. But then...things got crazy! The skin around the glue started blistering, turning shades of red, and hot and hard to the touch. I went to the ER last night because I was scared maybe they were infected, but the Dr. said he believes it's just an allergic reaction to the surgical adhesive. Has this happend to anyone else? How long did it take to clear up?? Thanks in advance!
  11. Hey guys, my surgery was Friday and all day today (sunday) I have had constant diarrhea. I called the hospital, they said it could be due to the antibiotics I was given in the hospital. I have been doing good taken fluids in, but having a horrible time getting any protein in.
  12. hey girly, good luck! My surgery was today, and as I lay here in the hospital I am craving some chapstick, but thats all, your list looks great!
