  1. Hello August Bansters. I am so excited for us. I just can't hardly wait for this. My husband is now rethinking all of this but I have not.:tongue2: I have been nervous but not rethinking it. I have run into a slight prooblem. Has anyone started or tried the Protein shakes. They are horriable. How am I gonna choke these things down three times a day. I got the GNC kind. HORRIABLE. Maybe mix them with something besides Water. Can we mix them with milk? I have also heard waves about the OH-YEA bars, they were ok, if I have not had a candy par in months I might eat it. I hope that I get to know each one of you and take this journey we are beginning. Allison
  2. Hello everyone. I am from Oklahoma. I just found out that I have been approved on Thursday(Aetna). I talked to my Dr's office, I have to wait to get the letter from them and then we can start two week of pre-op diet. She said that we are looking like first of Aug. Now I am worried about work. I know I suppose to be off for week or so but I was wondering if I would kill myself if I go back in 3 days. I am a nurse on my feet the whole time. I feel that I have been waiting for this since Jan. why do I have to wait til Sept. to have this done for coverage at work. I want it done, so I can start my new life. Kids will start back to work in Sept. I want it done, so I can have some help with my 3 yr old. Nervous about the Pre-OP diet. Looking about what I need, guess I will start buying and go to the grocery store. Allison
  3. If you are in the starting process you need to find u a surgeon. I don't know what kind of insurance you have but they will make you do a six month dr. and nutionist visits. But if u use your surgeon it will only take 3 months but regular dr with nutionist. This is very very time consuming.
  4. Thank you soooo much for the info. I am waiting for the approval from Aetna right now. So we will wait and see.
  5. They called me on Friday, told me they are sending everything in for Aetna. Holding my breath now!
