  1. Hi, I was banded on June 3rd. My recover seems to be uneventful so far. I am fifty yrs old and am a RN at Christiana Hospital. :cursing:
  2. PATCHELTON, thanks for the info. The cat show was less than 3 miles from my house. I live on the other side of the canal. My big problem now is I am always hungry. My son took me to dinner I at just the right amount, but never felt full. I had my first fill last Monday, 4cc. I go back in 2 weeks. I ended up taking a month off from work. I had one incision that was not healing, but now everything is good. I am diffently drinking plenty of fluids. I do need to increase my exercise. Talk to you later.

:rolleyes:Hi, live in Middletown, DE. I was banded June 3 by Dr Wynn. Down 10lbs so far.
  4. I think that it was a good idea to put your surgery off till after your guest leave. My surgery was supose to be in April, I put it off for a business trip and for my sons wedding. I am glad I did. When I go out I need to make sure I take food with me. At this time I am still suppose to be on full liquids. Not hard if I am at home. I have found that GNC does have protein drinks that are kept cold, so if I am out I can stop there to get something. Otherwise I have to take a cooler with me. I am ready to go back to work, but one of my incisions is not healing well. so they have not released me yet. Otherwise everything is good. Talk to you later.
  5. Hi, I am doing fine. What I like about the surgery that I am finally losing a little weight. I am not losing like I thought I would but 10 lbs in 3 weeks is good. I do find I seem to get hungry late at night. What the hardest thing has been is going to family parties. All the food and everyone keeps asking if you want something. How are you doing? :redface:Have you had surgery yet?

    I'm here to help...

Hi, I was banded on June 3rd. I think I have lost 7lbs. I am a hard time with my meals. I am suppose to wait 30 mins after a meal to drink but if my meals are liquid it is difficult. I sometimes forget which is a meal and which is suppose to be fluids. Do you think it really matters?

    Post-op day 4

So far I feel good. I had to stay over night, was not to bad, but did not get enough of sleep. They woke me up at 1:00 & 4:00 to walk. The swallow test was really gross, I thought I would throw up. Yesterday I went with my husband to Costco, thought it was a good way to get some walking in. I felt hungry last night so I had a sugar free pudding. I know I got all of my protein and water in so I think I should not get hungry.

  9. Louise, I have a headache too. This is my second day of clear liquids. I did ok yesterday until I got home from work. Then I got a headache. I was told to just stay on clear liquids. I bought a case of Isopure liquid drinks. They are not bad and with 40g protein I don't fill hungry. My surgery is tomorrow. Stay with it. It will be worth it in the end.:frown:

    1 week to surgery

I have one week to go. I am very excited and also nervous. I work in the operating room so I know what to expect, but am still nervous. I have chosen my team (an advantage to working in the department) and I fill I am prepared. I have been trying various protein drinks. I have tried a few that I got at GNC and some from the doctor's office. I would love to take a month off so I can go back to work on solid foods, but will probablly go back in 2 weeks. Debbie

I am having surgery on June 3 and would like to take off 3 weeks if my FMLA is approved, if not I will take 2 weeks. My doctor said one to two weeks. my job is a little physical.
  17. Hi, I am Debbie and I have my surgery scheduled for June 3. I just finished 6 months of classes. I am real excited. I have been trying out different protein drinks. What are some of the favorites that people have? I have bought a few different varieties from GMC that are not bad. Any advise is welcomed.
