I am the same way if you are self pay i recommend Dr.A My mom and I were banded by him in 2006,and i have sent 4 ppl to him this year..I was even lucky enough to join my cousin and a co-worker on their trip down in March.I am almost 2 yrs out and have lost 172lbs.I went from a very tight 26W to a size 10.I am just amazed at how this thing works.I have not had one bit of trouble with my band.Good luck with your search for a surgeon!

Dr.A and his staff are the BEST in my book.I had my surgery in June of '06 and went back the first part of March with my cousin and a co-worker.They both loved their experiences!And had I a BLAST just getting back to see everyone!I had my band adjusted while we were there and they made sure I got a liquid tray when they brought my cousins.I am almost 2 yrs out and have lost 172 lbs.I went from a VERY tight 26W to a 10.Any one looking to be banded by Dr.A will be extremely happy with their decision.

You will be pleased with Dr. Aceves. I had my surgery in June of 06 and have lost 167lbs. I am going March 10th with my cousin and a co-worker who both are being banded by him.Also my mom,another cousin,and 2 friends have been banded by Dr.A. All with no problems! GOOD LUCK to the both of you!

The 1st photo was taken in May of '06 and the 2nd one was taken 8/25/07..I am down 133lbs.

My mom was banded by Dr. Aceves in May of '06',I was banded in June of '06' and my cousin was banded in May of this year..We all LOVED everything and everyone there..

Hi Susie..My name is Regina.I live in Hickory Flat,MS.I was banded 6/19/06 and have had 3 fills and 1 slight unfill and am doing GREAT with it.. Glad to hear you are doing well with your band! I know I love mine!

I hope I did this right..The orange shirt was 1 month b4 surgery @ 358lbs and the green shirt was taken in March @ 262lbs.I am currently down to 248.5 as of today and will take an updated pic soon!
