  1. Hi Everyone Im back again! 2 weeks post op, still quite hungry, phoned my surgeon today to discover that i dont have any restriction yet! (explains why im hungry, i spose) he said i have a medium band and mentions with a 9ml limit or something, have no idea quite what that means, but hey, never mind, i get to go see him around week 5, hopefully to have some restriction put in place. Cheers Carol

  3. Hi everyone Well, Its all done now, had my band fitted on Wednesday the 5th August 2009.:scared2: Toaday is day 2 post op, I have to say I feel pretty good, I was discharged from hospital less than 24hrs after my op. I have been moving around most of the day and yesterday even took my 2 little dogs for a walk yesterday, (think I went a bit too far as i felt quite dizzy when i got back) Now i have been eating the prescribled CLEAR liquid diet only, and am wondering if any one has found any supermarket veggie Soups that they would recommend?? I started at 101kg and today am down to 97.5kg, i suspect its only Fluid, but i still feel great about it, ( can anyone tell me where i find that little weight measuring thing tool on here? ta catch you all soon, Caz

I went to see the dietition at SCGH yesterday and we talked a lot about Post op diet, Ive been seeing a lot of people here talking about liquid diets pre op?? the dietition never mentioned this to me i dont think, Can anyone enlighten me? The second question is, has any one any idea as to what i tell my work collegues the reason im going into hospital and after, as i do not want to tell them about the banding for the moment Does anyone know if sick leave should be covered for being paid after the op of up to 2 weeks???
