  1. I was banded 4/13th. I received 1-1/2 CC at first fill. Went for second fill 6/23 and was given 1 cc. Thought I hit my sweet spot but that only lasted 1 day. I noticed I was feeling tighter and tighter. By the 3rd day, I couldn't even sip water. Later that night it was painful to even swallow my own saliva. What a horrible night I had. Went to the dr. next morning and he removed 1 cc and I felt instant relief. (I also lost 10lbs in 3 days). My dr says 2-1/2 cc is too much for me. I am supposed to go back in 2 weeks for another 1/4cc fill. I am scared to death. I think I'll stay at this fill level until I notice myself gaining weight. So my 2 cents-- You might want to get a slight unfill. It's not fun being unable to swallow your own saliva.
  2. I was banded on 4/13/09 also. My experience was different than yours. Surgery went well. Only complication was that I stopped breathing a few times (I didn't know I had sleep apnea). The dr said I could have went home the same day but I opt to stay overnight. The first two days were pretty uncomfortable but I was out playing bingo on day 4. I feel really good (except when I try to bend over). No gas pains or BM troubles. Best of all is no hunger pains yet. I thought it would be hard to watch others eat around me, but surprisingly I don't even want to eat (that's a new one for me)
