    This is my first post. But I am extremely frustrated. I have been denied by UHC for my request to have lap band surgery. My BMI is 34.9 but I have high blood pressure that is responding to medication and diabetes mellitus that is no longer responding to oral medications. Does anyone out there have advice on steps I can take to win approval? I'm 57 and I'm running out of time. My kidneys have begun to shut down due to the diabetes. I need help from anyone with any pointers. Thank you.
