  1. I'm very new to this,just now considering it. Had visit with the surgeon yesterday, and she told me that after the band is placed, the only food I can eat is "hard food that has to be cut"--she only mentioned meats. Says this is because she wants to make sure her patients get enough protein. No fruits, vegetables or carbos allowed. She says you can get what you need from those by taking multi vitamins and benefiber every day. This doesn't seem right to me--what kind of nutritional plan only allows protein? She also nixed protein drinks because they don't make you feel full "they go right thru you". What does everybody think of this?
