  1. Angie, We share the same band month. I was banded 3-25-09 and have been watching for who else was celebrating this month. Your story is great and one I can relate to. I have also had great success with the band this past year and I am looking forward to continued weight loss. I am happy I made the decision to get the band. It is changing my life. Congratulations on your success band sister!!! :smile2:
  2. I recently had the same test and was able to review on a TV screen my results with the doctor. I asked her why my esophagus looked so big in one area. She said that was normal. That is the way it looks as the chalky white stuff travels down. Scared me too until I heard the explanation.
  3. carbgrl, I was banded 3-25-09. I will need to add that to my profile. I am new at all this. Thanks for your response.
  4. ANEWME, You are going through the same problems as I am. I am struggling with the 1-1.5 cups of food when the doctors office wants me to eat only .5 cups 3 times a day and a snack. I have 2ccs in my 10cc band. I do think the Snacks help my brain from eating too fast come meal time. I do not feel hungry, but when the meal gets in front of me I eat too fast and I have to tell myself to slow down otherwise I pace the floor and hope not to get sick. I feel like I am head hungry not physically hungry. Everyday is a struggle, but I take one meal at a time. 44lbs lost... so I am doing something right. Just keep your head in the game. We can do this!
  5. AZPETE, Glad you are ok. Thanks for sharing your story and letting us know the band has been the right choice and you are happy to have it. I got the lapband 3-25-09 and am looking for some answers if you would be so kind. First of all, I am scared to death about hurting myself and want to do everything right. I am eating three meals a day and can eat 1 cup at meal times. Is this bad? At 1 cup I am not getting the full signal. I did over eat one night and definitely got the the signal, and it scared me. So I am now measuring and not going over 1 cup. After surgery the nurse said drink and wait 30 min, eat 1/4 cup and 30 minutes after drink. I increased to 1 cup because I could and I think the 1/4 cup was because surgery was so new. I have never thrown up. You think I am ok with the amount? I assume I need a fill and have my next appt on 4-27-09. What do you think? One person in the chat room said food can range from 1/4 to 1 cup. I am on the higher end. I would appreciate your experience and thoughts.
